Criminal case against TUT.BY — another attempt to crush independent media
On May 18 officers of the Financial Investigation Department came to the offices of TUT.BY, including the regional ones, hosting provider HOSTER. BY and the largest car portal in Belarus AV.BY, as well as to the homes of several journalists and editors of TUT.BY.
The illegitimate authorities falsify another criminal case for allegedly failing to pay taxes in order to extinguish any manifestation of democracy in Belarus. The TUT.BY domain has been blocked.
This act once again vividly demonstrates to the whole world the situation in Belarus with the total absence of freedom of speech and the growing repression of the Belarusian people.
